Taxes and Incentives
Montana adopted a state renewable energy portfolio standard in 2005 requiring 15% renewable power by 2015. To help encourage the growth and production of renewable energy, Montana and the Federal Government offers grant and loan programs, tax incentives and programs through utilities.
