Eighteen Montana Communities Awarded Community Development Block Grant Planning Funds

HELENA – Eighteen Montana local governments have been awarded funds to help complete long-range community planning projects through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program administered by the Montana Department of Commerce. Lt. Governor Mike Cooney Highlights Improvements to Stevensville Wastewater Treatment Plant

Lt. Governor Mike Cooney joined Stevensville officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house July 21 to recognize improvements to the town's wastewater treatment plant.

Stevensville has received $750,000 from the Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) to support the project, which has removed health risks to employees and the public and provides the town a renewed DEQ permit to meet water quality requirements.

Montana Department of Commerce Awards Downtown Improvement Grants to Seven Communities and Welcomes New Main Street Members

HELENA – Governor Steve Bullock and Montana Department of Commerce Director Meg O’Leary announced the award of $50,000 in grant funds to seven Montana communities through the Montana Main Street Program.  The recipients of the downtown improvement grants include Butte, Deer Lodge, Libby, Miles City, Sheridan, Stevensville, and Thompson Falls.  The Department of Commerce is also pleased to announce that the Main Street Program has accepted Red Lodge and Roundup as new community members.

Miles Community College to Repurpose Armory Building, Continue Certification Programs
