HELENA, Mont. – Polson will soon have a new Main Street café thanks in-part to a $100,000 Montana Department of Commerce loan.

Blodgett Creamery, owned by Jeff and Debra Blodgett, will move into 325 Main Street, taking over a large corner lot building. The building will be rehabilitated into a destination café complete with coffee, tea and homemade food.

Blodgett Creamery is excited to be part of the historic downtown Polson business revitalization,” the Blodgett’s said. “We will be offering a true Montana experience in food and coffee. As 6th generation Montanans, we are honored to be restoring one of Polson's original landmarks.”

The $100,000 Montana Economic Development Administration loan will help the owners rehab the building and hire four employees.

“Montana’s economy has been built by business owners like the Blodgett’s,” Department of Commerce Director Pam Haxby-Cote said, “any time we can support the development or expansion of our Main Street businesses that create jobs and vibrant communities, we do.”
