Standing on the site of what will become 35 affordable homes in Polson, Governor Steve Bullock today joined community leaders and private-sector partners to break ground on the Polson Landing Apartments.
“These new homes will provide folks with an affordable and safe place to live, while also creating good-paying jobs,” Governor Bullock said. “We know that our communities thrive when their workers can afford to live where the jobs are, and raise their families in stable place.”
The State of Montana awarded $6 million of Montana Board of Housing tax credits to Housing Solutions, a Missoula-based affordable housing developer building Polson Landing. The new apartment homes will rent for $350 to $770 per month to people earning between $9,800 and $36,180 each year.
Polson Landing will be built in the middle of the rapidly-growing Ridgewater area of Polson. It will create about 90 construction jobs that will generate nearly $3.8 million in wages.
