Lt. Governor Mike Cooney and Deputy Director of Commerce Doug Mitchell travelled to Bozeman for the ground breaking at the new Larkspur Commons housing project. Not only will Larkspur Commons will be a wonderful new housing complex for 136 families, but it will also employ 309 new Montana workers during the construction process. Larkspur Commons is aimed towards median to low income households. At this very moment it is estimated that the average household in Bozeman spends 49% of their income on rent. Larkspur will cut the cost for households by 19%, making rent affordable at 30% of their income. This new housing complex is located within walking distance of schools, shopping, health care, transit and other important services.
