Early-Bird Discount Available Until December 7th for 2012 Made in Montana Marketplace
(HELENA) – The opportunity for exhibitors to save $50.00 on the cost of their booth registration for the 2012 Made in Montana Marketplace is quickly slipping away. The early-bird discount expires on December 7, 2011.
The annual two-day trade show – the premier venue where producers of Made in Montana products and wholesale buyers meet and do business – will be presented by the City of Great Falls and the Montana Department of Commerce, Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24, at the Mansfield Convention Center of the Great Falls Civic Center.
Already, the Marketplace Jury has approved products from almost two dozen producers for sale at the trade show. The list of juried exhibitors and booth assignments can be found on the Marketplace website - http://greatfallsmt.net/events/madeinmontana/. This site is also where potential exhibitors and wholesale buyers can register to attend the trade show.
“Exhibitors who meet the early-bird deadline qualify to have images of their products and information about their businesses appear in an online catalog for wholesale buyers from across the world to see in advance of the 2012 Marketplace,” said Paul Lloyd-Davies, marketplace coordinator. “The early-bird deadline is much more important than just saving fifty dollars on the price of a booth. It’s also about building interest among buyers.”
The Montana Department of Commerce and the Montana Department of Agriculture started the original Made in Montana Food & Gift Show in 1998. In 2004, funding for the show was cut. The Schweitzer Administration restored funding to help sponsor the rebirth of the show in 2005. In 2006, the City of Great Falls assumed production of the show and renamed it the Made in Montana Marketplace. The Department of Commerce remains a primary partner and sponsor of the Marketplace. The Department of Agriculture and Montana Arts Council are also contributing partners. Other sponsors of the 2012 Marketplace include Fatmoose Media, Slingshot Creative Group and the Great Falls Tourism Business Improvement District.
