Montana Department of Commerce Selects New Promotions Administrator

Montana Department of Commerce Selects New Promotions Administrator
 
(HELENA) –The Montana Department of Commerce today announced that Jeri Duran has been hired as the new Administrator for the Montana Promotions Division, which oversees the Montana Office of Tourism and the Montana Film Office. Duran replaces Anna Marie Moe, current Acting Division Administrator.
 
“I am pleased to welcome such a highly qualified individual to the Commerce team,” said Dore Schwinden, Director of the Montana Department of Commerce. “Jeri Duran has a great deal of experience promoting Montana. I am confident she will continue to represent the state well.”
 
Duran is currently employed as the Sales and Marketing Director for the Montana Lottery. Prior to her work with the Montana Lottery, Jeri served as Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for a Montana non-profit organization and as Marketing Director for a regional furniture company in Vancouver, Washington. Duran was also instrumental in launching a weekly newspaper in Livingston, Montana, and while there, served as Vice President of the Livingston area Chamber of Commerce.
 
Duran was born and raised in Townsend, Montana. She earned a Business Marketing degree from the University of Montana and is currently completing her Master’s in Public Administration.
 
Duran lives in East Helena with her husband, Luke and their two children.
 
Duran’s salary will be $78,314. She will start her new position August 15, 2011.
