Tourism E-Marketing Technology Grants Available for Montana’s Tourism Businesses
~Application deadline is December 13, 2013~
(HELENA) – The Montana Office of Tourism (MTOT) has $200,000 available for tourism e-marketing projects through the Tourism E-Marketing Technology Grant program.
Because technology is such a prevalent and evolving component of the travel market, these grants are intended to help Montana’s tourism-related businesses improve their competitive e-marketing position within the industry.
“Technology has fundamentally changed how people plan and undertake travel” said Commerce Director Meg O’Leary. “These grants will assist our tourism businesses in creating the tools and promotional assets to communicate with these digitally-savvy travelers in new and innovative ways.”
Grant funding may be used for a variety of projects and will be scored based on the project’s merit. To be eligible to apply for the grants, applicants must be currently licensed to do business in Montana with their principal business office located within the state of Montana. Applicants can include private businesses, non-profit entities including city, county or tribal governments, as well as other Montana state agencies and federal agencies operating in Montana.
To apply, complete the application located at http://www.travelmontana.org/forms.
The grant application deadline is December 13, 2013 with grant awards being announced on or around February 1, 2014. For additional questions, please contact Carol Crockett, 406-841-2796, firstname.lastname@example.org.
