Coronavirus Relief Fund Public Comment

Montana Governor Steve Bullock is soliciting public comment on how best to deploy federal relief dollars made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act or CARES Act.

Governor Bullock is planning for thoughtful, considerate, and expedient action to get this funding to Montana, especially in the areas that could financially support Montanans during this time.

In addition to hearing from you, Governor Bullock has assembled an advisory team made up of experts in various facets of our economy to help the state determine where these funds can best serve Montanans, businesses, and our health care system – and where we can fill unmet needs not addressed in the overall CARES Act package.

Generally, the funds must be used for “necessary expenditures due to the public health emergency with respect to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19).  At this time, the federal government has not released more specific guidance on how the funds can be spent.

This site has been set up to gather public comment regarding the greatest areas of need for these funds across the state. Please submit your comments below.
