Lieutenant Governor Mike Cooney joined a dedication ceremony this afternoon to celebrate the completed construction of six new affordable Habitat for Humanity homes at Mountain View Meadows in Helena. The dedication honored the work of the six “owner-builder” families and others who have worked to complete the homes.

Montana Housing Partnership Conference Rescheduled to May 2021

A one-day virtual event will take place on June 16, 2020

To protect against the spread of novel coronavirus or COVID-19 Montana Housing and NeighborWorks Montana have decided to move to a one-day virtual format for the annual housing partnership conference originally scheduled for June 15-17, and postpone an in-person conference to May of 2021. While we are incredibly disappointed we won’t be gathering in person this year, the health and safety of our sponsors and attendees is our number one priority.

Montana Department of Commerce Announces $15 Million to Develop Affordable Homes

Now accepting applications to the Multifamily Coal Trust Homes Program

The Montana Department of Commerce announced Monday that for the first time, state dollars are now available to develop affordable rental homes. Commerce’s Montana Housing is accepting applications for the Multifamily Coal Trust Homes Program. The new program makes available $15 million of Coal Tax Trust Fund dollars to develop affordable rental homes by providing developers with low-interest rate loans.
