The Montana Departments of Commerce (Commerce) and Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS) invite you to participate in a public hearing Monday, March 23, 2020, concerning the state’s five-year plan to guide policy and investment for housing, economic, and other community development. The five-year plan, also known as the “Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development” (ConPlan), includes an Analysis of Impediments (AI) to Fair Housing Choice in Montana  and is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assess Montana’s needs and current conditions as well as to determine priorities and allocate HUD funding.

The public hearing will present citizens with an overview of the ConPlan and AI and provide all interested parties with an opportunity to give input and participate in their development. Comments must be submitted to Commerce no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2020. Commerce will consider any comments or views provided in writing or orally at the public hearing while preparing the draft ConPlan and AI documents, which will be published and available for public review beginning June 2020.
