Commerce Announces Four Montana Communities to Receive Grants to Plan Infrastructure and Community Development Projects

Bitterroot Valley Montana HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Department of Commerce announced today that four Montana communities will share $97,500 of funding through the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG). These grants will support the planning of critical infrastructure and community development projects in Montana.

“These planning grants will help Montana communities frame future plans, studies, and training to develop crucial infrastructure and community development projects while creating and retaining good paying jobs for local workers,” said Montana Department of Commerce Director Scott Osterman.

CDBG Planning Grants are awarded to:

CDBG planning grants are available to eligible counties, cities, towns, and local governments. Local governments may apply on behalf of special purpose districts, unincorporated areas, or on behalf of non-profit organizations. Counties may also apply for planning grants on behalf of Tribal utility authorities.
