Commerce Announces Four Montana Communities to Receive Grants to Plan Infrastructure and Community Development Projects

“These planning grants will help Montana communities frame future plans, studies, and training to develop crucial infrastructure and community development projects while creating and retaining good paying jobs for local workers,” said Montana Department of Commerce Director Scott Osterman.
CDBG Planning Grants are awarded to:
- Town of Fairfield: $22,500 for a capital improvement plan to assist the town in planning and budgeting for improvements to its infrastructure.
- City of Malta: $37,500 for a levee certification feasibility study to assist Malta in certifying its levee system.
- Town of Stevensville: $7,500 to assist with the ADA compliance components of Preliminary Architectural Report for a renovated or new building for the North Valley Public Library.
- City of White Sulphur Springs: $30,000 for a capital improvement plan to prepare for changes associated with the Black Butte Mine.
