Grants for Exporters

STEP program

The State Trade Expansion Program is a federal grant administered by Export Montana. Montana exporters can apply for reimbursement on 50-75% of eligible fees up to a maximum of $10,000. Eligible international marketing activities include:

1. International Trade Show Exhibition
2. Market Research and U.S. Commercial Service Programs 
3. Foreign Language Translation
4. International Compliance Testing
5. International Intellectual Property Protection 
6. International e-Commerce and Website Fees 
7. International Digital Marketing 
8. International Credit Insurance from EXIM Bank
9. International Travel Stipend 

Companies may receive up to $30,000 in STEP awards per year.
