Montana’s weather is as diverse as its landscape. Summers are beautiful with sunshine the norm, and tend to be dry throughout the state. Fall can be highly variable and it’s normal for eastern Montana to be colder than western Montana. Winters can be extreme. Western Montana can receive much more snow than Eastern Montana. However, all areas can receive deep snow and below zero temperatures. Spring can be temperamental. Snow is almost certain and weather unpredictable.
