The Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) is a voluntary program occurring once every 10 years that provides an opportunity for designated participants to review and suggest changes to boundaries and names for statistical areas using specific criteria and guidelines. Standard statistical geographies include census tracts, block groups, census designated places (CDPs) and census county divisions. Tribal statistical geographies include tribal census tracts and tribal block groups. The 2030 PSAP is scheduled to begin in 2028.
