The Montana Board of Investments provides prudent investment management of state and local government funds. We work with financial institutions, state agencies and local governments to enhance and expand Montana’s economy, assist new and expanding Montana businesses and lend low-interest funds to eligible governments for a variety of projects.
State Tribal Economic Development Commission
The State Tribal Economic Development Commission works in a government-to-government relationship to expand and improve economic prosperity opportunities for each of the eight tribal nations through business expansion, capital access, manufacturing, tourism, agriculture and community development.
Board of Horse Racing
The Board of Horse Racing ensures the integrity of the state's horse racing industry, both live and simulcast, through customer-oriented regulation and monitoring of compliance with the Montana State Board of Horse Racing laws and rules.

The Montana Board of Housing’s purpose is to support the development of safe, accessible and affordable homes for individuals and families in Montana.
Hard Rock Mining Impact Board
The Hard Rock Mining Impact Board administers the Hard Rock Mining Impact Act and the companion Property Tax Base Sharing Act. The HRMI Board provides technical assistance with metal mines license tax distributions. The board also can adjudicate disputes between affected entities.
Montana Coal Board
The Montana Coal Board assists local governmental units that have been required to expand the provision of public services as a consequence of large-scale development of coal mines and coal-using energy complexes or as a consequence of a major decline in coal mining or in the operation of coal-using energy complexes, to assist in the construction and reconstruction of designated portions of highways that serve the area affected by the large-scale development, to support county land planning and to support public schools throughout the state.
Montana Facility Finance Authority
The Montana Facility Finance Authority enhances Montana's healthcare and community capabilities through access to cost-effective capital financing and development services.
Montana Heritage Commission
The Montana Heritage Commission preserves and manages historic resources in Virginia City, Nevada City and Reeder's Alley and promotes the appreciation of history through quality visitor experiences.
Montana-Ireland Trade Commission
The Montana-Ireland Trade Commission was established to foster closer economic ties, promote business and academic exchanges, encourage joint action on shared priorities and support mutual investment in trade, infrastructure and development.
Small Business Development Center Advisory Council
The Montana Small Business Development Center Advisory Council is comprised of members who have demonstrated an interest in supporting and promoting small business and assistance activities by furnishing advice, gathering information and making recommendations.
Tourism Advisory Council
The governor-appointed Tourism Advisory Council oversees the distribution of the Lodging Facility Use Tax ("bed tax") to Montana's tourism regions and convention and visitor bureaus, advises the Department of Commerce relative to tourism promotion and fulfills other functions as defined by MCA 2-15-1816.
