Skarktana: A sleepy ski town’s annual festival turns into a bloodbath when snow-sharks rise from the mountains, forcing estranged locals to unite in a fight for survival.

Seeking:
Kay - Lead - 30s female
Rate: $125/day
Five days
Kay is the grounded emotional core of Skarktana. She grew up on the mountain and now shoulders the full responsibility of running her family’s failing ski lodge after her mother’s death. Kay is tough, quick-witted, capable and refuses to quit, even when everyone else would have walked away.

Mikey - Supporting - 20s-30s male
Unpaid
Two-three days
Mikey is a snowboarding bro. Loud, loyal, and permanently stoked. Mikey treats every day like an adventure movie. Fearless to the point of reckless, but his enthusiasm and heart make him an unexpected standout when danger hits.

Cash - Supporting - 30s-40s male
Unpaid
One-two days
Cash is a park ranger. Laid-back, funny and allergic to drama. Avoids chaos, prefers the warmth of the truck, and cracks jokes when things get serious. Underneath his reluctance, he’s a loyal partner who shows up when it really matters.

Kandy - Supporting -20s-30s female

One-two days
Kandy is the bartender at the Lost Horse Lodge. Warm, friendly and sarcastic with a big heart. Kandy is upbeat, practical and tougher than she looks. She keeps the mountain’s social engine running and stays calm even when everyone else loses it.

All the characters except The Witness are part of a local TV news team. The team is reporting on an event that may (or may not) have recently occurred. The play is more absurdist than satirical, imaging perhaps a news report on the setting of the sun, but a sunset that will never be followed by a sunrise.
